A CamCard alternative with no subscription
CamCard is the best-known business card scanner, with more than 90,000 ratings in the US App Store. It is also a subscription: Premium is $49.99 a year, and exporting your cards to Excel or a CRM is part of it. Metwith works the other way round. Your first 25 cards and one event are free, with no account, and Metwith Pro is one payment.

Why people leave CamCard
Of CamCard's 50 most recent US reviews on 19 October 2026, 43 gave one or two stars. The reason given most often was the subscription and how it was billed, then cards read wrong, then cards lost or locked.
What Metwith does instead
- A stack in a minute. Scan the pile from a fair one card after another; Metwith reads each one and marks what it wasn't sure of.
- Where you met. Every card keeps the event, your notes and a follow-up date, so the person comes back to you on the right day.
- Straight into your Contacts. In a list named after the event, or in your Outlook or Google account.
- Your own card. With a QR code people point their camera at, on your iPhone and on your Apple Watch.
When CamCard is the better choice
If your company syncs every card straight into Salesforce, or shares cards across a sales team, CamCard and Covve do that on their paid plans. Metwith doesn't: it exports an Excel file you import yourself. If you scan cards for yourself and want to stop paying every year, Metwith is made for you.
Questions
Do I need an account?
No. Cards are read on your iPhone and saved to your Contacts. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to put your own card online.
What happens after 25 cards?
The cards you have stay yours, in Metwith and in your Contacts, and you can export every one as a vCard. Metwith Pro adds unlimited cards and events.
Which languages is it in?
