Make a QR code with your contact

Type your details and the code appears. Anyone who points their phone camera at it can save you to their contacts, with nothing to type. Free, with no sign-up, and it never expires.

Add an address

Type your name, phone or email, and your QR code appears here.

Made in your browser: nothing you type is sent anywhere or kept.

How people save you from it

On an iPhone, the Camera recognises the code as soon as it sees it: tap the contact that appears, then add it to Contacts. Android phones do the same with their camera or Google Lens. Your name, phone, email and company arrive filled in, so nobody has to type your email address and get it wrong. How saving a contact from a QR code works

Put it on your business card

  • Print it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide, bigger if you added many details: the generator says how big under the code.
  • Leave white around it, as wide as four of its squares. The PNG and SVG already have it.
  • Dark on light. A pale code, or one on a photo, is harder to scan.
  • Scan it before you print a box of cards, with your own phone, from about 20 cm away.

The SVG stays sharp at any size, so it's the one to give a printer. Business card sizes, in mm, inches and pixels

A code that doesn't expire

Many free QR code makers give you a code that points to their own server, which can stop working or start charging later. This one holds your contact details themselves, so it keeps working whatever happens to this website. The other side of that: if your phone number changes, make a new code.

Your card, on your phone

Metwith keeps this same code on your iPhone, as a 3D business card with your QR code on the back, on your Home Screen and on your Apple Watch, ready to show at a fair. It also writes your card to an NFC sticker, and it scans the paper cards you're given. Free, with no account.

Questions

Is this QR code generator free?

Yes. There's no sign-up, no limit, no watermark and nothing to pay, and the code is yours to print on as many cards as you like.

Does the QR code expire?

No. It holds your contact details themselves, not a link to a service, so it works for as long as the details on it are right. If they change, make a new one.

What is a vCard QR code?

A QR code that holds a vCard, the contact format every phone understands. Scanned, it opens as a contact with your name, phone, email and company filled in, ready to save.

Can an iPhone scan a contact QR code?

Yes. Point the Camera at it, tap the contact that appears, then add it to Contacts. Android phones read it with their camera or Google Lens.

Is what I type stored anywhere?

No. The code is made in your browser, on your device. Nothing you type is sent to Metwith or anyone else, and nothing is kept after you close the page.

Which details should I put in the code?

Your name, one phone number, one email and your company are enough. Every extra line makes the code denser, so it has to be printed bigger to scan well.
